nice job! I've got an 88 LT500 rolling chassis and the motor out of my 2003 TL1000R - 1000cc FI v-twin, last dynoed @ 31,xxx miles 74lb-ft and 126HP at the rear wheel...just gotta find $$ and time to put them together
I'd lean towards a stator or coil...I've seen the same issue on quads. They'll run fine at low rpm/low load. As soon as you get them spinnin though the stator cuts out. Grab a service manual and check out the stator
also thinkin about putting in some rear handholds soon...I realized that cutting off the rear bondline also meant cutting off my grab handle :banghead:
alright more progress today. finished turfing the pole and the front bondline. ran out of glue :banghead: so I've gotta get some more and finish the rear. Also put the decals on the RH side finally
hope to be at bens (24-7 760 superjet) house tomorrow and/or monday to get some...
didnt you see my other post? I'll be down sunday and/or monday. work 9-4 saturday and I've got plans after so thats out, havent ridden the ski since the first time last week. still need to pull the motor and fix the tank
I've got a complete X-2 trim setup off ebay that been sitting around, just need to pick up a terry cable and lever and rig it all up. also when 24-7 760 superjet and I were cutting up my hull we noticed a third tube through the hull above the cooling lines...maybe a pre-made trim tube? jsut need...
ok found another problem. My fuel tank mod isn't up to par. The new pickup location leaks ever so slightly. So the motor has to come back out so I can take care of that
