I always liken this mod to getting a fresh tire on a dirtbike, since I jetski with alot of my dirtbike buddies. The extra hookup and power delivery crispness is like fresh shoes on the braap cycle.
Impeller = gearing changes
Intake grate = perfectly tuned suspension to keep traction

Very clean and rust free 760 flywheel (F4T323) in great shape. No issues - just don't have the electronics to run it and got it on a spare motor.
Price includes USPS flat rate shipping.
I will also trade for a clean 62T flywheel
I do have a set of 38s on my other motor I could try. I think I'm going to go the Wax 5.8gal extended tank route to see if it gets me back up to similar range. With the power this combination makes I'd rather just have a bigger tank - it's too fun haha. At my current cranking pressure I can run...
Put another hour on the motor with the following settings:
Mains: 132.5
Pilots: 115
NS: 1.5
Spring: 80gr
Popoff (measured): 40psi
LSS: 2.5 (2-1/2)
HSS: 0.125 (1/8)
Got rid of the mid RPM flutter and it pulls much more cleanly up to the moon now without burning up. I'm thinking 130 mains might...
New Engine Time...
After many hours and 3 seasons on the JM 718 motor (it's about 754cc now, not by choice) I have started to find a niche in riding preference. The JM is undeniably a solid arm ripper, but I've started to adopt a more adventure jet skiing (ADVSKI - I trademarked it, jk) style...
Looking to buy 2x riva billet head domes smaller than 38cc for 760 (84mm). Currently have 38cc and would ideally like to find 36cc.
Note - This is for the older discontinued Riva heads, NOT the ADA heads.
@SMV RYDER - what is your jetting currently and are you on OEM 44 carbs?
I'm about done a 760 build similar to yours and figured I'd be close to whatever you're running since we're both at elevation.
I've seen those SXR big boy hulls listed for anywhere from $500 to $1500 from the racers that gut them for the 1500 engine. The 1100 host skis usually can be found for $1000 pretty easily in my area as well - which is not anywhere near the ocean.
There's plenty of conversion bits needed I'd...
Theres a few 1100 swapped skis out by me that i keep eyeing up. I wonder what the fuel mileage in an 1100 swap like this or in a sxr800/SJ hull is like.
Truer words have never been spoken. I was really into the idea of making a hull at one time. I ruined a perfectly good 550SX to make a pile of parts that who knows if they ever went anywhere. When I moved across the county I vowed to leave that life behind and always have a rig for whatever...
I did the heat up and drop in method with the bearings pre-loaded onto the driveshaft (which also used heat and cooling to avoid any requirement of using a press). It worked perfect, no extra effort was needed outside of gravity.
Mute if you don't like music on your videos:
The spoolgun has made working on oddball aluminum projects super fun. Just as easy as mig especially if you have a good autoset machine (I love my vulcan migmax215 and 3 other people that use the normal big name brands have bought one after using it as well). I've done a few baffle plate...
