Other 760 Yamaha with dual 38's

Back to back results... no surprises really. Bottom end is the same (i.e. Just fast enough to barely balance, like 1mph, standing up and punching the throttle). Top end WOT for 5+ seconds is the same (I'm able to hit 47mph on both 38s and 44s) Mid range tho... 44s take the cake (and eat it too...

Is the sport / market declining?

We need to start a GoFundMe to help E350 move out of his current communist home state so he can live in a state where freedom still exists so he might stop polluting every thread the almighty X(-H2O) with his political sniveling. Jet Skis

I'll throw my oem 44s back on this week so I can get as close to a back to back as I can. I swear they would pull outta the hole ever so slightly better than my 38s, i.e. launching outta a trough between wake waves on short notice or pulling out of a 360 spin with authority. I also wanna see if...

The motor is in the same realm - is this one you've used before or have experience with? Ye Olde factory pipe dyno charts - are these really the best charts we have to show the power of the mighty yamaha engine? The dyno chart for that motor from the manufacturer is below. Some other vendor...

Usually someone tracks miles on a phone in a dry pouch. We do a lot of river / tributary and lake fork exploring so we can cove chase - so we've done some 90 mile days (2+ refills). I think we've seen just about every piece of coast line at lake havasu from the dam to the sandbar as well as all...

I would disagree on the better bottom end. It's equal if not every so slightly worse IMO. Top end becomes very 'safe' feeling - but definitely loses the mid to WOT pull for sure. I was able to pull 47mph with 38s and keep it pinned WOT for 10+ seconds. I made the jump down primarily to get...

    Music

Here's a new AI mix. I used inspiration from this thread: https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/how-i-assembled-my-solas-pump-without-a-press.137372/ Basically asked chatGPT to create a rap song using the instructions. The inspiration for this song came from doing 3 (or more?) of these pump builds...

    Music

Recently I found out about A.I. music generators. All I can say is that they are way better than you could imagine already. I asked for some song ideas from my buddies and I'm putting together a "Beach Playlist" for jet ski sessions. If you're into hip hop - this one came out exceptionally...

Is the sport / market declining?

A stock pipe vs a simple B-pipe will increase the decibel output of the ski by a non-zero amount, especially if the exhaust outlet were to come above waterline... I haven't heard a ski with a B-pipe that I would call quiet unless it's parked on the beach. Throw in some porting and it's now a...

Is the sport / market declining?

I just want to rip up any body of water and not be told "no" because it's a 2 stroke and makes loud scary noises. I'm pretty far from being an environmental steward and EVs don't really do anything for me. Same reason I wanted an electric dirtbike like the Stark Varg - to be able to ride 'less...

Is the sport / market declining?

I did a whole prospective analysis for an electric drivetrain back in college for our 1/2 scale formula race car. The power to weight ratio back then was good - with YASA and their axial flux motor leading the charge. YASA is now owned by Mercedes but the technology has only gotten better with...

Is the sport / market declining?

Not dead yet. Just missed a deal yesterday for $7500 near Denver: 2x RN SJ's 1x SN SJ Trailer Not too bad, one of the RN and the SN looked a bit neglected but after you've worked on these things for a while there's only so many things that can be wrong. As FastGT says - pass the knowledge and...

    Mikuni Pilot jet pocket tuner?

Did you try stock jetting first? I've run my ported 760 WFO for 10+ seconds with the same jetting at havasu and ruedi without issues. Is it a bit rich at ruedi? Yea a tad, but I usually only need to compensate with 1/2 turn on the highs and 1/8 or so on the lows. If you're not having luck with...

    Market correction on ski prices?

Prices overall in the high rockies are starting to trend down. I'd say, speculatively around 25% or more from peak covid pricing. Still not back to pre 2019 prices and we likely never will be with the change in the value of a dollar. One thing is for sure, the majority of listing's are no longer...

    Mixing Gas

A guy up in the mountains here had his start near his house and drove up to a lake about 20 minutes away with it idling on the hauler. Cylinder was a different color once he got to the lake. I can guarantee you it was dry though - so that is a good method from what I've observed!

    Mixing Gas

Getting slightly off topic here but I'll bite since I don't see this topic discussed in detail often... What is your overall strategy here? When I pull the ski out of a freshwater lake I usually just blip the throttle 3-5 times from idle to full throttle to get the water out of the exhaust. My...

    Need Help With Oil Selection

My group has burned through 5 gallons so far. Plenty of 10+ second WOT pulls and race course laps at body beach combined with general river and cold high alpine lake abuse here in Colorado. Its boringly dependable oil and doesn't smell like supertech.
