    Who Mountain Bikes for exercise?

BK - have you tried using a half-link to tension? I agree that tensioners suck - I bought a half-link when I broke my 2nd tensioner in 6 mos.

For the same reason a 750Sx has 743cc of actual displacement, or even further back, the 550 has 530cc of displacement -- etc, etc.

    Freestylegeek's squarenose conversion

Nice turf job there! I turfed my footholds this weekend and WAS pleased with the results . . . until now.

    direction of roll???

I'm regular foot as well and I have always rotated/spun left on my skis, but when I ride my bike, I prefer rotating right (180's, hips, quarter pipes) and have a really hard time spinning left ... so I figure it all must be a mental block either way.

    monkey jump...tips!

That trick was pioneered before wide-spread use of trims in freestyle anyway. I haven't tried one yet either but feel ready.

    Lake Allergies??

I made some nasal douche last night and it helped me a LOT ... 1/2 cup warm water 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt stir till it's clear I'm reusing a (washed) saline nasal spray bottle I had around - perfect. I was actually able to breathe freely when I woke up today, prbly the first time in a...

    Superjet wide tray footholds toe-thru?

That's true, but don't the RRP FS-1's have a ridiculously wide stance?

    Superjet wide tray footholds toe-thru?

Hey guys - I saw a (2006?) WF vid that showed some footholds mounted with the toe-through (poking out the side of the ski). I'm assuming this was done in conjunction with a wide tray. Any one done/doing this to their ski and why or why not? 00:17

    Question on tricks without footholds

Gimme a break - spoiled new school freestylers (j/k). You can definitely do a jump sub with no footholds. I quit riding for 7yrs and just got a SN last month so I haven't chopped it up yet - I can dive subs all day. You can also learn power 360's, marriots, superman, sprung monkeys/ballbusters...

    Who Mountain Bikes for exercise?

Nah - I just ride it the way I rode a BMX as a kid. Don't knock it till you try it. Just like a couch rider doesn't understand a freestyle stand-up rider. BTW - the gear ratio is 28:12 - that's a pretty tall wheel. Here's Lenosky - blame him for the Giant STP:

    Who Mountain Bikes for exercise?

For all of you old men too old to BMX but too young at heart to enjoy LONG solitary lactic acid build up session ... ... my MTBMX -- great for short commutes to work (8 miles) when it's not 100 deg out -- also great at the dirt jump trails and the skatepark. Freestyle for the mountain biker ...

Time to complete de-foam, footholds, one-way

Cool - well, I have some Surf Jet Louie's footholds, turf, underpad, epoxy, etc. already anyway - but I guess I'll chill out and wait until winter - I think Cannibal is right. The timeline posted by TB is really helpful to me for planning - thx for that. LBE - I used to run a 24-7 scupper and...

Time to complete de-foam, footholds, one-way

I just picked up a Superjet and would like to install footholds, but I have a crack in the back of the gunwhale - it's sealed up pretty well, but I'm afraid I still need to de-foam. I'd also like to install a one-way/scupper as well ... Installing footholds and turf is enough of a chore - how...

    Superjitters

Hey Aaron - it was good chatting skis with you guys the other day, hopefully you guys had a good ride. My name's Gary BTW - I prbly never formally introduced myself - the collection of skis laying around your shop is just too distracting and I'm unable to think clearly when I'm there. I should...

    Superjitters

I started riding in 1986 and bought my first ski in 1994 - but in early Spring of '03 I parted out all of my ski stuff to pay for my last semester of college (since I was maxed out on credit). I get paid tomorrow and will be meeting a guy about a SJ this week - I'm at most a week away from...
