Nice meeting with you guys the other day. I'm clearing space - I'll have a ski by mid to late summer for sure.

How To: Shorten your stock pole -PICS-

DEAD THREAD WALKING! I found this thread through the Tech FAQ section - the Bondo Epoxy pics in the original post have a red "X" through them but there is no mention as to why, or what to use instead. I used to use West System Epoxies myself, but I've heard there are better (and cheaper)...

2008 super jet release date 8/20/07 12pm EST

10-15 yrs ago, just about ANY Motocross/Supercross rider would've laughed in your face if you told them thumpers would dominate the sport in the near future (prbly would've said they're too slow, heavy, etc). I think 4-stroker skis just need innovative builders/freestylers like Malone, Wamilton...

    Reliability/Maintenance of freestyle Superjets

Sorry for the vague question, it was late when I posted. I should clarify, I'm wanting to run as much as a pump-gas boat will allow - ported, piped (wet, B spec), aftermarket head (pump gas domes as mentioned), MSD/Advent ignition or similar, case porting, maybe stroked?, maybe on bb sleeves? I...

    Reliability/Maintenance of freestyle Superjets

I am curious about how often a modded (pump gas) freestyle boat needs top-ends/cranks. What other maintenance issues can I expect from one of these (i.e. MSD's needing replacement every X months). Sorry if this has been covered, I tried searching it out to no avail.

    Considering a stand-up

You will become hopelessly addicted and sell your couches (except for the wife's). Superjets are great for jumping and tricks, but it would prbly be more fun to learn on an SXR IMO - I became addicted on a '76 JS 400 back in the eighties.

300/440/550 550 footholds vs. fire extinguisher

That's exactly my concern. I had that happen when I had my extinguisher under the hood on my SN (under the fuel tank straps) - it slipped enough to crack the plastic top. I was out jumping waves and my Superjet suddenly bogs and dies. After a hard swim back to shore I popped the hood and POOF! -...

    never buying slippery gloves again.

I just recently retired a beloved old pair of Jet Pilots. I had done a couple of mends over the years, but those were the best gloves I've ever owned by far. Hopefully they still make them as good.

300/440/550 550 footholds vs. fire extinguisher

Ah, and there it is - $80 - thanks! I'll prbly favor garage-fab over Blowsion for the 550 though, but that's a great help. Anyone have a picture of one in use?

My lake is too heavily patrolled for that.

300/440/550 550 footholds vs. fire extinguisher

I've seen Fearlessnuts' solution - how have others tackled putting footholds in their 550's and removing/relocating/avoiding the fire extinguisher storage? Sorry, but search results on this were disappointing.

    Who Mountain Bikes for exercise?

MTB'ing rules. I haven't had a ski for a few years now and I was starting to go nuts so last year I bought a Giant STP. I've set it up to be, basically a big man's BMX. I ride dirtjumps, skateparks and urban freeride. I also usually ride about 10 miles a day (5 mi to and from work) on my...

    Unmolested 02 SJ.....For now.....

I like your list FLY6584. I'd prbly go with something similar but with a few additional notes. - I always get bilge(s) and bars first if you can't afford to do everything in Stage 1 at once. - I would also add a pro-tec nozzle at Stage 1. - Cutting/adding handholds at Stage...

    Howdy X-H20'rs (reintroduction)

Thanks for the warm welcome all! I am being very weary of the money trap - I figure if I'm going to spend $1G it better at least have a reed valve and another 100cc. Hey ATS - I checked out your website, I will definitely swing by the shop and talk skis with you - let me know if one or more...

    Howdy X-H20'rs (reintroduction)

I used to paruse the PWCToday forums - prior to SBT. But I sold all of my skis and related items to help me part from college and the sleepy town of Grand Junction, CO. I now reside in Denton, TX and am very close to my old stomping grounds - Lake Lewisville! First of all, I noticed that I no...
