Howdy X-H20'rs (reintroduction)

I used to paruse the PWCToday forums - prior to SBT. But I sold all of my skis and related items to help me part from college and the sleepy town of Grand Junction, CO. I now reside in Denton, TX and am very close to my old stomping grounds - Lake Lewisville!

First of all, I noticed that I no longer recognize any usernames on PWCToday, I found all of the names I'm familiar with here. Also, I was sad to read of Slymo's departure from the sport - possibly one of the nicest people I've ever met - and a damned good rider to boot.

Shortly after moving, my wife and I celebrated the birth of our 3rd child - therefore, I've had NO time or money for the sport I love (I have settled for freeride MTB'ing instead). Now my neighbor has offered to GIVE me an '86 JS550 that, supposedly, only needs a waterbox to be play ready. Being an ex-Superjet rider I'm sure I will be disappointed, but hey, at least I'll be riding again.

Anyway, I have again been bitten by the Jetski bug BAD and I'm sure I will someday be in the market for a Superjet again (although, college, my kids, my house and HEALTHCARE have put me in the poorhouse).

It's good to be back, and I will try to get caught up on all that I have missed over the last 3-4 years.

Howdy,
You'll be pleased to know that there are 4-5 SJ riders in Denton. We own/operate ATS Racing in Denton. We very regularly ride @ Sycamore bend or Point Vista, both in Hickory creek. We're going out tonight for a little while, gotta try out Aaron's new ski he bought yesterday, and make sure mine is ready to go down to South Padre on Wed. Your welcome to join us or stop by the shop sometime and talk ski's.

Good attitude, SMP. If the JS leaves a little to be desired, the kids will love it, anyways. Here's to it being a runner!

Thanks for the warm welcome all! I am being very weary of the money trap - I figure if I'm going to spend $1G it better at least have a reed valve and another 100cc.

Hey ATS - I checked out your website, I will definitely swing by the shop and talk skis with you - let me know if one or more of you will have your skis in-house, I'd love to see them!
