    Wakeskate shoes for cheap

whiskeymilitia.com is selling Globe wakeskate shoes for cheap for the next 20 minutes. Thought some people may be interested in this. They have more sole than wrestling shoes but are still low profile and don't hold water.

Best relacement throttle cable for RN?

I used a kawi throttle cable on my SJ and it does not fit without making a new bracket. The cable is too long and the stock bracket will not take out all of the slack. The picture shows what you will have to do.

Is this going to be a nutcracker? (some custom work on the front of a SN)

It looks like it may cause some problems if you do ballbusters or 50/50s. That bulge will get you right in the chest or the chin. It would probably work better if you grind it sown some and just make the v a little deeper. Looks good though.

    Turfing questions for SN

The best way to get your turf to fit right without footholds is to create your own template out of some butcher paper. Make it a little bit big if you are not sure and do the fine tuning after most of it has been glued with a sharp razor blade and a straight edge. If you are going to be...

Has anyone seen this kind of ski before?

I'm thinking of buying one of these. I'm betting that with a few mods it will be capable of the elusive flatwater double front flip. Stay tuned for a build thread.

what is the best motor mount

I was told by Gil Beurnier that you need to mill 2 mm off of the bottom to get them aligned correctly. The side by side picture seems to confirm that.

Central or Nor Cal people can you help me???

Not very crowded at all. The riding is great as long as the water level is up. I know the last few years the season was short because the river dried up. Let me know if you plan on hitting it up over the summer, I live in Fresno about 30 minutes away.

Central or Nor Cal people can you help me???

The place you are talking about is called Riverland. I don't think they do day use anymore, they only allow people who own the bungalows on the shore to use it. You can go a couple miles upstream and put in at a place called Lindy's Landing. There is also a place called Royal Oak about a mile...

Flatwater Reinforcement, How necessary is it?

I think that a lot of the time full side reinforcement is unnecessary. A layer of biaxial under the hood seal lip and some behind the bulkhead on whichever side you land barrel rolls on will stiffen things up quite a bit. I cracked the top lip long before I started cracking the sides.

    Fixing side dents in SJ

I'm totally baffled why it's so much worse than every other hull I've seen. I'll probably just end up filling it with glass because it's so noticeable that it would be pointless to paint it without fixing it first. I would try the heat thing but I've already glassed the inside with biaxial.

    Modified SN nose piece

That's exactly what I was thinking of. I hate the stock bumper. Is that the kit that Blowsion sells or was that made from scratch?

    Modified SN nose piece

I've seen a lot of people modifying their square noses lately to make them look not so...square. Here is the modified nose piece that I'm working on right now. It gets rid of the "beak" and extends the hood lines all the way to the bumper. I think I will also fill the bumper area to make it look...

    Fixing side dents in SJ

I've seen a lot of SJ hulls and I have never seen one with molding imperfections this bad. Here's a pic so you can see just what I'm talking about. They are in front of the bulkhead so foaming will not change anything.

    1986 js 550- Project

That looks good. I've never seen hood scoops like that but they look cool. Footholds make a 550 so much easier to ride. If you are still looking for braces you might want to call Beef-It. They make pole and hull braces for the 550. Their number is 559-787-3701.

    squarenose flat water back flip

I heard that back in the day Warren Federwitz, a pro blaster freestyler, was doing them on flat water. The only video that I saw of him though looked more like an over-rotated bronco.

    Fixing side dents in SJ

I picked up a SN and am currently reinforcing and prepping for paint. There are huge dents in the side of the top deck just in front of the bulkhead. They are from the molding process and are about 1/2 inch deep. Should I fill these with glass/epoxy resin and grind them down or could I scrape a...

SJ upper starter bolt broken options

The exact same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I spent a day and a half trying to drill out the extractor without luck. I decided to run it with only the bottom bolt and test my luck until the end of the season when I would have plenty of time to fix it and it has held up fine so...
