It's going into a PJX hull, which is superjet based but requires some adjustment to the driveline length. The 65A prefix is confusing me since I can't find any reference to a 65A type engine.
I bought a hull with a custom driveshaft and a midshaft assembly from an unknown model. Can anyone tell me which model this midshaft assembly may have come off of? The numbers on top of the assembly don't seem to match any part numbers that I can find online. The assembly is going into a standup...
I've been told by several overseas riders that they were able to check empty hulls on a regular flight. Engines and fuel tanks had to be packaged separately. There was even a company that was making bags for hulls specifically for this at one time. I don't know which airline they were using but...
I get a screen telling me to update my system the first time I click any link on this site. It asks me to go here: https://softwareupdaterlp.com/campaign/fatherlend1/?ID=trillmstrcpi2&sub=trillmstrcpi2&S2=wV1Q619PVBEM8DSH076CT58E
If I just hit back it doesn't come up again.
Whoever is selling that has been posting it all over Craigsllist for months with different locations in the tag each time. For that price it should have disappeared a long time ago. Seems kind of fishy to me, but who really knows.
Looks good. You may find it easier to extend the nose all the way to the front of the bond line instead of trying to shape a smooth lip. This is how I did the nose when I was building my girlfriends' square.
The pool does eventually corrode all the connections...and break the nose off your ski! It would be worth it though to ride in a pool like that. I can't believe the guy on the blaster was able to hold on hitting the waves that fast.
I don't think there will be another local show for a while...
I live in Fresno and do a lot of riding up in the foothills about 40 minutes NE of Fresno. It's downstream from a hydro plant and has rapids to jump depending on the day. It's the best flat water riding that I've found anywhere. Get a hold of me if you don't mind driving a bit.
Hey whats up Tom? I had a feeling it was you when I saw the user name. There have been a few guys that have done hull builds in the buildup section. I don't remember if they listed a schedule of materials or not but you may want to search and check. - Allen
You're forgetting that the term Jap has a long standing negative connotation with it. Using Jap as an abbreviation does not make someone a racist but it is the same term that has been used to dehumanize an entire race of people since WWII, and it carries a lot of ugly baggage. It is the term...
I suggest that after you're healed up you get fitted for a custom earplug or at least buy some of the wax earplugs they sell at the drug store. Break the wax into a small piece and stick it into your ear canal and it will stay put. Some water will still probably get past it but it will protect...
I remember reading your column in Splash when I was about 14 years old. It was always one of my favorite parts of the magazine and I wrote a letter to the editor after it stopped appearing begging them to bring it back. Better late than never...
I've had good luck using indoor soccer shoes but I bought a pair of the wakeskates to try them out. I used wrestling shoes for 13 years and my ankles just can't take it anymore.
