Hey oddballs41 thanks for the reply, yea that's an X2 hood, so although they've got a lot of the same features, not sure if the stripping is exactly the same. Hey @Jonnyx2 JonnyX2 do you know if the front of the 650sx also needs the weather strip?

I found 3 other ones on ebay after I posted this, and noticed that all of them DON'T have that piece of weather strip in the front. Curious as to whether its needed there or not.

@Vumad no, its not really leaking from what I can see. I rode for a solid 3 hours on sunday and got quite a bit of water over the hood. The amount inside the hull was minimal. I would say between 1/4 and 1/2 inch at times before the bilge was turned on. I think I'll add a strip to the front...

I personally have heard they're more trouble than they're worth. Then I've also heard of the duckbills blowing out as well. To each, their own.. I would never personally use one. I don't have the time or money to replace/redo the ski if that failure did ever happen

@Yami-Rider in your experience, what did you do in those instances? did you have to remove some of the hull lip, build it back up, form it, then keep putting the hood on and sanding the new shape until it fit?
