Right now, all your losses are on paper -- they're not real. You want to make them real? Pull your money out when the market is down. As I heard a financial planner say on the radio yesterday, "Panic is not an investment strategy." It's a winding road. Have you ever been on a Northbound...

    I cant stop laughing!!!!!!

i gotta say, I don't see what the big deal is. Sure they're not standups, but that one guy can do more with a couch than any of the guys I've ever seen at my local lake. Life is about keeping yourself entertained.

    John Zigler = good guy

Just received a set of 6m6 cases from John for $35 shipped. He shipped them as soon as he got my money order, stayed in touch through email and just generally did me right.

Anyone have any experience with a Polaris Genesis?

Like I said, I have never been on an SUV. But the LRV is the closest thing to it, size-wise, and it's the most boring PWC I've ever ridden. (And keep in mind, I've got a WaveJammer, so that's saying something!) My B-I-L's family like it because they do a lot of waterskiing behind it, which I can...

Anyone have any experience with a Polaris Genesis?

I can't speak to the SUV, but my brother-in-law has an LRV. Ugh! Can you say "Bayliner with handlebars?"

Anyone have any experience with a Polaris Genesis?

Sorry, but the SUV & LRV are Big Fat Pigs. The Genesis, on the other hand, is a ...um, well, a Skinny Pig. GENESIS: 10' 11" long 4' 1" wide 725 lbs SUV: 12' 7" long 5' wide 815 lbs. LRV: 13' long 5' 1" wide 960 lbs.

    superjet conversion hood

You did a great job on the styling. It integrates well into the SJ shape. It has enough variation in the lines and surface planes so that your eyes don't just slide off onto something else. And yet, it's not so busy that it looks gimmicky. I can't wait to see it finished in glass and color...

I always wanted my pilot's license. I started taking flying lessons at 17, with the money from flipping burgers at Dairy Queen after school. I was making about $50 a week, and a 1-hour weekly lesson (in 1980) cost, you guessed it, $50. About the time my instructor thought I was probably ready to...

I'd love to find a carb'd Genesis. The injected ones scare the crap out of me. One little chip failure and you've got a nice, expensive buoy.

The problem with that equation is that using a boat means a trip to the lake, which for many people (those not living within easy driving distance of a nice lake) means renting a place to stay, food, etc... So using a boat (or ski) often means incurring all those vacation costs...

You want a $25K boat? Not a problem. Drive a 10-year-old beater. Ditch your cable and watch free TV with rabbit ears. Buy Harbor Freight tools instead of Snap-On and Makita. Buy a $50 MP3 player instead of an iPod at 5x the price. If friends invite you to dinner at an expensive restaurant...

300/440/550 Why am I sliding so much?

Rend made some extended ride plates with removable skegs back in the day. I've seen a couple for 440/550 auctioned on eBay over the last couple of years. I picked up one for a WaveJammer last year and it was nicely made.

Gee, sorry I asked. They were mentioned in a PWI article in 2005, and still referred to on the Group K web site. Sorry to waste your time.
