Had to wait a week for these, BSPT hex plugs. Anyone doing their first Bun, those NPT fittings aren't tight, THEY'RE WRONG !!! Buns are all BSPT, British Standard Pipe Taper ! Get the right fittings !

Finished up the cooling lines and added Ebox. No matter how hard I try friggin engine compartment always winds up looking like Das Boot. Oh well, function over form. I usually observe metal clamps on metal fittings and plastic clamps on plastic fittings, the head pissers were the only place I...

I'm sure all the stuff out there is comparable or it wouldn't be on the market for long. I wouldn't open a tube of it for just doing inserts though, but you can't beat it for a big bonding job like top decks and bottom decks.

Push 155 Pump Cooling fitting size?

3/8 NPT threads are .675 OD. As general rule of thumb I like to see what I’m tapping as thick as my OD. But this is jet ski stuff where general rules of thumb go out the window….. I’d ask Push what they think about going that big.

Push 155 Pump Cooling fitting size?

Unless it’s made with bosses 3/8 NPT may be a little too big for tapping just the wall.

The results convinced me that I didn't need Plan A Or Plan B Or Plan C The test convinced me Plan D, Two 1/4inch thick o-rings would suffice.

I did perform some HIGHLY scientific research on my battery tray, lol. I bounced it up and down from a shock cord upside down after installing the turf bed. The holes do more than lighten the tray, they help to lock the turf in.

Only the pinch bolts are Ti. Less selection with Ti and I obsess over bolt thread and shoulder lengths when it comes to fit. Probably would've taken me another 5 years just to collect the right bolts in Ti ! Just went with 316ss. I will admit, I did consider it!

And since I had the chip brushes and contact cement out to turf the pipe, I glued on the hood pole pad. Nothing like intentionally scuffing up beautiful visual carbon. Still better than the pad falling off and the pole crashing into the hood.

On the advice of someone who couldn't get his Bun tuned because he found an exhaust leak from steering cable rub AFTER he pulled his Bun, I turfed the front of the Bun pipe and used an eye nut with one hand cable ties to pull the breathers as far forward as possible.

How's it going Max ! I'm a newb to Buns and 1200's so I'm going on the advice that I have got from a couple of guys who know a lot more than me running them. When I first got it I was advised to at least drill the manifold and plug it in case I need to add it later. Since getting my beginning...

I did try 2 different size exhaust hoses as the Bun box terminates with 2 3/8 and the hull is 2 1/2. The 2 1/2 squeezed down fine onto the box so I went with that as opposed to fighting it onto the hull tube. One less battle. And these were just for fitting, I did change them to black.

Prior to installing the motor I did install reeds, flywheel, starter and bendix, cover and exhaust mani. Reed pics wound up next water box pics, the Bun does use the big snow mobile reeds. Had to make studs and nuts as supplied bolts were merely a suggestion.
