He's a good dude but you have to be really careful with scammers creating a username that's almost the same as existing accounts. Look at their post history and then decide if it's someone you want to share your info with.
Been using a shake siphon for 5 years now. Just set my jug up higher than my tank, put the hose in place and give it a jiggle. Lower the jug to slow it down or make it stop flowing. I can fill my boat up in minutes this way too and don't have to hold the jugs while doing it. You just have to...
Maybe just leave them out? The only time I use mine is to remove the hood. When I do hood tricks I grab the rails or front of the pole. They also hold water.
I've ridden it for a year and I couldn't be happier with how this ski turned out. I haven't changed anything in a few months so I think I'm done. I ditched the scoop grate and put a open intake grate on, swapped the mod out for a wax chamber, and installed og xscream trim. I get close to 2...
Not much. I work on them and have a good collection of parts. Get 3 double lip oem seals from nasty nic on ebay. Intake spacer or new pjs intake to use an SBN 44 carb. Gaskets, sealant.... See what degree flywheel you have (21,25,or28) and adjust stator accordingly to make it 25. One mm = one...
I raced 7 rounds of AJSA vintage 550 class this summer and it's been some of the most fun I've had on a ski. I've ridden about every hull made and own a much nicer ski but seem to always find myself on a js550. Restore that thing and go race!
There are days when I just don't feel like riding..... then a bass boat comes trolling up the cove in front of my house. That's enough motivation for me. F them all. When i got ran over in 2011, there were people here who immediately came to defend the boat driver without knowing anything...
I just repaired the nose 3x. Once was to repair the gel coat cracks and reduce flex in the pole bracket area. They stopped using gel after the first few. I hit the earth twice in Daytona and made a 8" soft spot around the bow eye. Those were my only structural repairs. I did move my footholds...
I have my original in good shape. It was cut short and reinforced with carbon before I ever used it so no cracks. I also have the mold to make a "sportfish" backie chan plate. Fits better and frees up the rear a bit. Planned on doing a few this fall when lake season slows.
I don't think so. The oem foam is much stronger, more flexible, and chemical resistant. It's thermoformed beads but way better than cooler foam. I have a 90 x2 hood foam here it's still soft and flexible. Those pieces will last forever as long as the thermoformed outer layer isn't broken or...
It's heat molded from beads of polystyrene. When it gets cut or broken, water can seap into the bead structure. It may work fine but I definitely only want to do that job once. Extruded polystyrene is the way.
