I would add that the Wax pipe uses the FX-1 chamber which makes a little more power than the Limited chamber. Factory Pipe does not offer the FX-1 chamber anymore.
I do the brap thing a few times then fog all my skis before putting them away. I really don’t think you will ever get all the water out of the water box, even sitting a year some water still comes out on first start. Fogging is the best protection.
Pretty crazy I would agree. Haven’t seen a single review on the Wax Pipe. I have one and it looks identical to the Factory Pipe but I haven’t installed it yet.
I use Klotz which seems to take a little longer to mix and is easy to see since it is red. I used to dump the oil in the jug first then add gas. I noticed that the oil seemed to almost stick to the bottom of the jug.
Since then I put about a gallon in the jug then add oil and slosh it around...
I think a B-Pipe would be too big.
But that ain't going to happen either. This was to be a beater and loaner so not dumping anything else into it but a fix for the rubbing tank as neither of us like it enough to keep away from our superjets.
Last fight was the stock gas tank. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to hold any pressure so I pulled it out and realized the fresh gas had for some reason made the entire front of the tank crack, maybe it was age? After two old tanks cracking I gave up.
So after having a new one on order...
Where is @brapperdoodle I know he must have one on order...
1993 called..
Yamaha finally answered in 2024..
I wasn't thinking about a new bike but I just can't get enough of the 80-90's colors....
The 787's don't really have static timing adjustment, everything is bolted in place. If the woodruff key isn't sheared it should not change.
For all the time you are wasting you could have pulled the MAG cover and checked the magneto cup and pickup.
Timing does not change between 3000 and 4000...
I could use some help from the collective before I start throwing parts at my ski.
Some of you might remember Project Boat Anchor https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/project-boat-anchor-superjet.193224/
So after 3 years of delays, no water in the lakes and a year recovering from back surgery my 13 yo...
Only word of caution is some of the 650 coils have Resistor plug caps so you need to run non-resistor plugs. The later ones are non-resistor caps so they run resistor plugs.
No, it has been fighting me the entire way.
First startup it would not rev past 1/2 throttle and seemed to be hitting the rev limiter at 4,000 rpm. Turned out the be a bad coil.
Next the fuel system would not hold pressure. Turned out to be a big crack in the front of the fuel tank that was not...
As said, the failure was the hollow extension.
When I made my hitch hauler for towing a single jetski trailer I used 2" solid bar stock sleeved with 2" ID hitch stock for the body of the hauler. It is heavy AF but will not bend or break.
I can't speak for the sheet goods but the pre-cut one I saw seemed exactly the same as the WSM and BlackTip junk. It just isn't as squishy as it used to be. My guess is it is all exactly the same except for the branding logo cutouts.
Well, I guess it’s about time to cut to the chase.
Engine is installed and everything connected. I have a few mm clearance on the electrical box.
The gas tank is shifted as far as it can go because of the rear exhaust exit and touches the Bread Box outlet so I’ll have to keep an eye on that...
