My 2004 shaft that appeared to have never been removed was also a little out of whack when reinstalling with the cold fusion tool. You could get it lined up perfectly then spin the shaft a little and it would be slightly off.
As far as I know it was run for 10 years or so like that. Pump and...

I have the same problem, brand new mikuni needle/seats that have air bubbles coming up until popoff wet with wd. Tried the old ones which look fine and same thing.
So far I've tried new springs and arms, made it bubble slightly less. If I slightly bend a set of arms downward it cures it but...
I'm also fairly new to this stuff but have been learning some of the basics.
If it's filling up with water that quickly just floating, not running I'm thinking you have a leak from somewhere else, midshaft maybe, crack in hull?
If it's pumping water in while running maybe a disconnected or...
Trace your waterline to the through hull and to the pump. If your pump is setup for dual cooling you will have the two forward fittings on either side of the pump. These feed the motor/pipe with cooling water.
The rearward fitting on the left is where your stock siphon should be hooked up...
That's your stock bilge siphon. It should draw water out when underway. It should not let water in.
It connects to a through hull and then to the exit nozzle of the pump which creates a suction to draw the water out. It sounds like it's maybe connected to the cooling line off the pump...
Pretty sure there are a couple complete 61x ebox's with stator for sale on here. I'm also going to be putting a complete one with stator up for sale shortly.
I recently picked up a global digital tach (formerly SenDec). At idle I'm reading 2800 or so rpms, obviously that's not correct and it's doubling the rpms.
On their faq it states...
"Why does my tachometer read double the RPM’s?
Some ignition systems fire twice per RPM causing the meter...
Thanks for the tip. My main concern is with clearance issues with the pole, nose piece, etc when moving the bracket forward an inch or so.
The hole is not lined up at all in the original mounting spot. In fact the bracket covers part of the hole. So if I did enlarge it to the size of the...
Problem is part of the hole is covered by the bracket and I don't have a breather tube of that size.
If I move it forward I can utilize the stock through hull rubber piece.
Trying to install this pole bracket and the hole in the hull for the cables does not line up when using the stock mounting holes.
Am I supposed to glass the current hole and recut?
Or can I move the bracket forward an inch to center it over the hole? It would be easier to glass the mounting...
