yep, you def. have to get this baby back and running. First, check the wires that go from your stator to the CDI box area. Mine got tangled up in my driveshaft once and I had to re-wire it. Check all grounds, broken wires, shorted wires, etc.. NO OIL IN THE STATOR COVER! To my knowledge...

Pull the flywheel and check for debris on the magnets and make sure they are intact. Sounds like you have something going on in there, which will effect spark output

Got her running!! Spitting and sputtering it is improving with tuning, but I want to re-route all the fuel lines to clean it up. Can someone hook me up with a diagram of a cleaned up fuel plumbing? Thanks, here is my motor config.

Hey guys, well we got the old 550 rebuilt and almost ready to rock. Got 120psi in each hole, great spark, all we are missing is fuel. I tried some ether to try and get fuel to prime but no luck yet. Any tricks on getting this sucker primed? Plenty of fuel in the tank, and i would like to get...

Making progress, these little motors are awesome! I have 3 more sets of cases Im going to try and fill because Im having a blast building this one. I have two sets of cylinders/pistons that need bored. Anyone have a good source for oversized pistons?

Well, I got a complete cylinder with pistons, used, 150psi in both, for $180 shipped. Ontop of a nice crank for $125 I should have both of my 550's back in action soon. Thx for the input fellas Im sure Ill be back with more questions soon. :icon16:

Yep, it just quit on me. No destruction on the inside besides the scoring. Might be some sand or something.

Sounds expensive lol... Where can u find cylinder piston combos? I heard the WSM pistons are just fine? I'm all for some knowledge here :) I wonder what could have caused the scoring? The tops of the pistons and combustion chamber look great... The head popping off has to be part of this...

why get a new cylinder? Cant I bore and hone with over-sized pistons/rings? I don't even know if pics will do justice, the only thing I see is a couple scuff marks on the cylinder walls.
