actually the original rrp poles were billet not cast . they were only produced in cast due to keep cost competittive in the current market at the time now they have found a supplier who can manufacture them cheap enough to make them affordable to consumers . i have two original billet poles...

keep in mind if your start doing a locking pole mech that you better start to reinforce your pole bracket area heavily as the is like putting a 4' breaker bar on it .

by the way sure you use red loctite on all those bolts again when you reassemble very important!!!

the grey stuff is just grease . it is suggest to help extend bushing life and smooth action

they all work on post 2008 sj the bolt pattern is the same . cost is much higher on the 2008 intake grates though.
