I have a cool push button one from hot products, mounts on the bars. Been going strong for 4 years now, been in the ocean a couple times.
I have always used the completely encased in rubber Bilge switch’s from the big parts house’s (Lynn Vick, Western power sports, etc). At least that’s were I think they come from. I have several that I have stocked up on over the years as backups but I have never needed to replace them as I have never had my original go bad. I always toss the aluminum mounting bracket and mount them directly on my start/stop switch. I make a flat mounting area out of JB weld and glue the switch directly on.
I have been running the same under the bar switch for about 7 or so years. before that I went through 2 of them in about 3 years. knock on wood. Wish I could say the same about wiseco pistons. 1 last year and another today. Averaging 4 rides a year and boom.
looks like you got your money's worth out of those grips.
