Homemade pontoons

SKI TILL I DIE!

YUMMMMMMMY
Hey guys...sorta new to the forum (first thread)

Well i picked up a 650 x2 this weekend and its been great so far besides when i decided to let my friend have a stab at it. Well we ended swimming it in half way underwater.:angryfire: So i've installed a bilge and closed off those massive vents in the hood so now the engine compartment seems pretty watertight.

I've herd about the x2 pontoons that turn it into a couch and have been pondering about it. I would love to mess around with some friends and maybe tow things and this seems like the perfect thing for this.

I am definitely not spending any money on these unless someone wants to sell me a set for like $25 (because i got the ski and trailer for $250:woot:)

so i was wondering if anyone has made these pontoons before or has any ideas for me.

Thanks so much for any of the help!!

P.S. i know how lame this sounds but it would be cool if it would float (definitely waterlogged) like a couch so i could take people out on it and tow people..even though it might end up being reallllyy redneck.

i sealed all of the vents and then drilled holes in the back right where the steering is. It works great! I did i couple turn subs on it this weekend and when i turned on the bilge water never came out!

i have a complete set and i am coming to daytona just needs paint 75 dollars and that is a steal the hardware is mint just bolts right up, firts rule if you have never been on a x2 before be careful lending it to your friends, and in surf and choppy water they are harder than standups, i have never used them and i think are only good for girls, kids, or newbies,

My question now is are they worth it for the money? I didn't put very much money into this ski and don't plan to.

Need some advice: Will the pontoons actually turn this thing into a couch where you could sit on it with the engine off? My plan is to grab a few friends and mess around with it...i'm thinking tow a wake board/skis or something? Is this a big waste of time because its not going to work regardless and you can't really have fun on an x2?

psh! for 75 dollars, ill take em!

:rule of thumb: dont expect killer deals on everything because you got a ski for next to nothing.

they are kind of cool, had a set pass through my hands a while back
make it more stable, but not a couch by any means
a Kawi 650 is NOT going to tow much
do not plan to ride more than one
more like training wheels for the young ones
once they learn, you take them off
