Half of it is darker discolored you can see the new break is brighter new looking. Get a brass 90 deg. elbow before you put that pump back in and ditch the steel ace haedeware plumber fitting lolI don't know anything about metal, so what makes you think it has been broke for a while?

Heat the front half and bend it 90 degrees. That gives you an awesome midshaft coupler tool. The back half can be welded to to a plate (or a trailer hitch) and becomes a good prop holder for repitching.

just weld a nut on the back side of the shaft. lock it in the vice. have a vibration before it snaped? i bet you did. check your motor alinement. this will snap drive shafts also.
