Mag pump shaft?

I bought a 140mm mag pump a while back and was led to believe it was a direct fit for a superjet. Well i went to fit it last night and to my surprise it comes about an inch short of the stuffer! So it looks like it has a shaft for a set back pump, trouble is its not a set back pump.

So can i use an oem shaft instead?
How do i remove the shaft from the pump?

Also the shaft for set back pump is mabey a 1/4" longer than stock and the splines are 3/4" shorter than stock, is that the norm? just so i know exactly what ive got.

set back only means the stator sect.is moved back
still bolts up the same
like tom says you prob have a blaster shaft
looks like you have a blaster so just pull your pump and compare

if you need to remove the shaft it presses out the cone side of the pump
so you push on the splined side after you remove the impeller and the tail cone
i have a new sj shaft if you need it

I was thinking about emailing them but somtimes its quicker to get the answers you need from here. I failed to mention that i bought the pump second hand and not from skat trak so its by no means a prob from the manufacture.

If it was a set back shaft in a non set back pump, the shaft would be too long. If you are trying to put a non set back pump in a SJ, you can use your stock shaft no problem.

U might have gotten a blaster shaft

The Blaster drive shaft is a bit longer.

90-05 Superjet = 26.00"
96-98 Blaster-II 760 = 27.00"
93-96 Blaster-I 701 = 28.75"

Its going in my superjet build, i bought the blaster for my girlfriend and needless to say she dont get to use it much! lol.
