I am talking about Kevin's ski. That motor is AWESOME!!! Now we just have to get hm on the MS109 and get him to leave the dam headpipe screws alone!!!:spank:J/K

Yeah, he had the pipe way too wet for my taste. Even so, it was hard to give the thing full throttle before the ski was out of the water. I'm so jealous. But, I do want to try some x-scream so I can compare it.

I am not discounting the 1009cc motor at all-it is awesome. The 1009 hits hard, pulls long, is snappy, won't load up, and has more torque then a Kenworth. The JW 950 is simply unbelievable and to date-the most awesome motor I have ridden. I want it!!! I am amazed that the 950 with a B pipe and 'racing carbs' and the wrong cylinder was soooooo strong.

lol thats funny, the wrong cylinder eh. How much stronger does the jw feel in %? Sounds like its a much longer lasting setup at 200 psi and lower rpms on a bpipe as well. its all in the airflow,TJ has some crazy powerfull motors out there with small cc setups

Trying to put this into percentage is like freestyle judging-too subjective.

Wrong cylinder, carbs, manifold, reeds, fuel, oil, timing curve, everything and is really awesome.

I hear ya,this is why in the turbo car world we have dynos, nothing subjective bout that. So give us some thing to go by,appox % more power? how many ski lengths would it pull over the other in a 0 to 30 dig? they are prolly proped pretty sim? That sounds great to make that kinda power with 185 psi.Is the timing conservative enought to run 93 oct if need be. i assume if your runnin 109 prolly not

We have built in dynos with our pumps. All that matters is how much pressure is produced and the nozzle area. I built a thrust meter that raised more questions than answers. The only numbers that anyone is interested in is the size of their engine and carbs.

Its all in the setup and the complete package and knowing how to tune that package,I have seen many high dollar engines that were poorly tuned and ran like crap,I have also several low dollar motors that were highly tuned and ran like a raped ape, there is more to tuning than bolting on parts and twisting carb and B-pipe screws.

Well i guess i'll chime in .

Motor :

I'm very excited about my Jet works 951 . I truly believe this motor strikes the balance with power, simplicity, and integrity . All the parts on this motor are off the shelf nothing is made special . No power valves , no special pistons , Kaw rods , Mod b pipe , ADA head with regular ADA domes. I love this approach to motor building (very easy for the end user ). The build was free ride build very conservative with 185 psi . The porting was aggressive but not extreme . Certainly enough to make a very powerful predictable ski . All in all a fantastic platform with room to grow. Add a little more aggressive porting , full race gas and compression and stand by . Will it stomp all the other builders in the 1000 cc class ? I could not tell you and neither could they. The devil is in the details and it is impossible to compare apples to apples as every set up is different . Everyone knows a little here a little there makes the whole package . I'll just say working with Art has been a pleasure and i'm completely satisfied with all the aspects of this his motor , set up and service . I drank his crazy Mexican kool-aid and he's the horse I'm betting on.

Set up :

Real easy... just set every thing the way Art says to . Everyone knows how finicky Black jack carbs are right . Art selected the pop off, jets etc. we set the high and low speed x turns and .........that was it . 8 tanks and I have not touched them . The prop he selected was almost perfect , he did have to tweak it a little. Of course I'll keep playing around with the pipe screws and nozzle just to see (cuz... that's what we do ) even tho they seem to run out best ... where he told me to set them.

Thanks to :

I owe Crammit big time . He help me out immensely . Many late night phone sessions and even showed his hospitality by inviting me to his home for marathon sessions in the sensory depravation chamber ( his shop). Last , but not least our very own Gill , just for being a shoulder to lean on . you just call out my name.... and you know where ever i am.... O so sappy

i'm in the Atlanta area and don't mind test rides . if anyone would like to try it out we can arrange it you can decide for your self.
