Rediculious hypothetical question, I was looking at a 61x stator and it looks VERY VERY similar to a k650 stator as do the 61x/k650 flywheel. Is it possible/has anyone every tried a full kawi 650 elec system on a superjet motor?

I'm pretty sure this has been picked apart a few times, I've read everything I could find on it and don't remember seeing anyone say it WON'T, but also didn't find where anyone had knew for sure.

I did a search before I posted and saw a few ppl who thought it might work. And most of those were ppl who just wanted to use the stator. I would want to use the entire kawi system. But didnt find anyone who actually ran it.

Kawasaki 650 and pre-96 yamahas will fit.

So 61x cases will work with the 650 stator? Any reason a 62T case would not?

Reason I am asking is that I have so many sets of MINT 650 elec systems. I love there simplicity and hate the yammy ebox.

Really? I think the ebox is the shiz.. I love having everything right there, sealed up, with weatherpack connectors on everything, makes it SO easy to work on. What don't you like about it?

So big, too many screws, non ORING'd, annoying gaskets, battery/starter cables go inside the box, cdi and coil are seperate...plus a few other things. After JSS does his work on a 95 X2 650 ebox/cdi, its beyond bulletproof. Neven had water in the 650 box, ever. I really believe you could leave it fully submerged for a short time and it would not leak. Just love the waterproof all in one no rev limiter coil/cdi that the 86 650 has.

But this comes from the fact that I have 3 fully rebuilt 650 setups spare...lol
