Whats this SN worth?

Good friend of mine has a 92 SN, just like the one I sold recently, but bone stock. He bought it last year for around $1K. Rode a handful of times, and it lost spark. Long story short, it's been sitting in his shop at his farm now since end of last summer with the e-box torn apart, and the carb off the intake.
He's wanting to sell/part it out. Hull is solid, in good shape, but no title/hins. I know the deal, it's not stolen what so ever, just couldn't get paperwork on it. So basically I/someone would be buying it as parts. Everything is there, just doesn't doesn't run for some reason, and no title. I'm thinking about buying it for everything other than the engine, and the hull.
With it in non running shape, and been sitting like it has for almost a year, I'm thinking your basically buying it as a parts ski, with bum electrics and possibly a bum engine. I just want it for all the piece parts.. I have a RN hull, pole, hood, 760 engine, etc but don't have all the ingredients to assemble it. We all know that stuff can nickel and dime you to death with hardware, hoses, straps, etc. What is a fair price? I realize if it were running, and able to be registered, probably $800-$1000 would be about right. However, no title, non running, been sitting with carb off, etc.. Maybe $400?

start with a 12 pack

Kinda what I was thinking. I know what he gave for it, so I don't want to totally low ball him, but really it's just a bunch of parts. I'm thinking if I get it for $400-$500, I could sell a few things and keep what I need and not be out a grand in misc parts for the RN build.
I need pretty much everything minus the 6m6, and hull/pole. I'd like to have the hull sitting there for a top deck conversion, but that's not going to be this year, so it's just another un needed part. I know I'll spend AT LEAST $400-$500 though buying all that little BS to assemble a hull from scratch.

Well, you can sell the hull for $150, pole for $50, crank $75 (good condition), misc crap you don't want $100-200. So, ya, $400 and you'll have all the stuff you need plus you might even have some coin in your pocket when it's done.

i dont know anyone who would pay $150 for a hull without a title and hin #s

I've seen them go for that. There's been some newer RN hulls like this go for a whole lot more. I personally paid $125 for a SN hull w/o title. I'm trying to get it now, but if not, I'll swap the HINs from my other one that is crap.

Yeah I'm thinking the hull is basically useless without the HIN. It's in great shape, so I would like to have the bottom deck for a conversion. I can work something out on the HIN I'm sure. Either way, you guys pretty much answered my question. I didn't want to insult him with a crazy low offer, but I didn't think I was too far off. I told him if he wanted to get it running, and registered he could probably get $800-$1000, otherwise, unfortunately for him, it's not worth a whole lot.

Sad thing is, if its anything like the last few early model superjets i have seen, it could just be a bad start/stop/kill switch.....

disconnect the black and white stop wire connection from the switch

Come on now Mario if it's running I'll have to pay more! :shhh:
Actually I'm pretty sure we wen't through all that last year. If that was bad, it wouldn't turn over, right? Thats been my experience with SS switches. The lanyard part wears out inside causing it to complete the stop circuit constantly. Disconnect it, and it will start and run. This one tries to start, just no spark if I remember correctly.

A bad start stop switch will cause a crank but no spark condition.... it happened to me.
