Did you pull any subs? I blacked out the first time I pulled a sub in that cold water. It gives a new meaning to the term "brainfreeze". I could only do them every few minutes or risk blacking out again.
I find that it hurts most to have that water hit the top of my head.
So I now wear a tourcoat with the hood over my head, and put a helmet on over that.
Works like a charm.
I did subs, stabs, and other flatwater sissy shenanigans for hours.
Try a tourcoat with hood or just a separate hood, it really helps tremendously.
You need to ride some real river over here.:woot:There's hardly anyone else out on the water this early in the year. Nice for practicing setup wakes.
I miss chasing boats, though. Chasing ducks gets old. :haha:
Gonna get to try out my new 70-200mm f4L, too. :bigok:

Last summer we hit 2 big 40 footers heading home in open water that were running side by side, the converging wake had about 8 feet of drop if you came over it.....If you can promise me big boats, I am in.
