Be careful putting them in. Take your time. Ground yourself out. Line them up nice and then click them in to place.
Memory is very sensitive to ESD due to the fact that there is no place for static to discharge.
I always unplug the machine and then hold the power button in to drain all remaining energy from the capacitors on the motherboard.

I would normally ground myself but never thought of holding in the power button.

How do i check the clock speed of the chip to see what it is running at.
