The only gripe about the ride (not negative)

I just love Daytona and the whole ride.
The people are awesome, the skis rock, the venue couldn't be any better, the raffle, the tricks, ...................
But (and there always is a but), the one thing I'm not a fan off is dragging the ski back into the water after it has sat on the beach for a while.

That Daytona sand is some super strong sand paper/suction cup stuff that doesn't want to let go of any hull left on its surface. By the time I get the ski deep enough to ride (especially on the last day) I'm too tired to get on it and there's still the shore break.
I know beach stands and beach carts exist but when I get back to the beach there isn't much strength left to hoist a ski onto one of those contraptions on my lonesome and asking others for help all the time is not cool.
There has to be an easier way.

A small beach cart like device that is low to the ground so a ski can just slide on?
A skate board with some bigger wheels ?
Santa's sleigh ?

You think it will work ?

I never drag, pick up, slide my ski for anything... I have a beach cart w/ a winch on it.. I ride up onto the beach and winch it up w/ my 4:1 winch onto my cart and roll it up on shore then clear it out... What is so hard about that??? maybe you need to get "pumped up"

By day 4 cranking on the winch isn't as easy as it sounds.

I had some scrap materials, an hour of time and a stack of little wheels so I gave it a try.
Should be a bit easier to pick up the rear of the ski, kick this thing under and walk away.
On the way out, roll the ski to the water and have someone pull on the rope (yet to be attached) to get the mini cart back onto the sand.

If it doesn't work I will just scrap it and go back to using my regular cart.

I ain't going to Daytona, and I am not a regular surf rider. But one thing I have learned from my misadventures on West Coast Beaches : It's all in the tires.
You MUST have big, wide tires, or you'll be plowing the beach.

That Daytona sand is some hard shait.

This wouldn't be used to get the ski to the car or to the sea wall, the regular cart with big tires would do that.
This little one would only be used in the wet sand between rides.

How bad is it if you don't have crap and have to drag it? I'm hoping some of you guys will help me unload and load it back in my truck. Right? Or am I being a beach newbie buthole?
