Daytona 09 Show & Shine... Showoff your build

Darin had a great idea and I'm rollin w/ it.

It goes like this:

People w/ new builds or specialized skis that would like to show them off, we are gonna line up a bunch of fresh builds and sexy boats for display on the pool deck for people to talk over w/ the builder/rider about the particular mods.. This is a good way to showcase your skillz and your fresh ideas. We will be doing this at around 5-7pm on Friday before the ride, so get those builds done and get ready to show them off...

THis will not be a buildoff competition, but more like a carshow setup..
We will not be awarding a winner, this is just for bragging rights. We may do a community vote or something like that if people are really wanting to pick a favorite, but nothing official....

I really liked the buildoffs, but know that some people got their feelings hurt with the voting aspect, so this will hopefully take that negative out and give everyone something to talk/look over. Tons of people are hanging out then anyway, so why not have skis to look at too?

Hey Nick, why not have a little something for the one most like the best, like have a write in vote and collection box next to the ski's. Then sunday with the raffle, anounce the winner and such. Perhaps I could weld up some little goofy trohphy or something.

I think we are gonna keep it to just hanging out and discussing the skis... I wanna keep it light and fun...

Cool, I was just thinking about the funny little trophy they give out at bike week for the buildoff bikes, like you said.......bragging rights.....lol.:sleeping:

Been done before, that was the buildoff at the Riot Ride 2006 and Southern Fried Freeride, but people's feelings got hurt for different reasons. Keeping it non-competitive will keep the cool factor.

My ski will not be buildoff quality, but it will have some cool factor in the build and people might want to see it.
