computer virus help needed

11 years in the biz and using (for the last 4 or so) AVG, Spybot S&D (immunize is awesome!!) and/or Adaware.

My customer have zero issues unless they continue to use Limewire against my wishes.

I have hooked up a few with Linux/Windows dual boots and those are really bulletproof.

Wow...consescending! I have owned 3desktops and 2 notebooks. I had viruses on each one that Norton failed to eliminate. I personally went through everything one each of these systems using AntiVir and Adware, found the virus. They couldn't remove it, so I went into safe mode and deleted them there. Each time, I have repaired the computers and restored them to their previously proper running state. Does that make ME a professional?? NO. It means that not everyone is as computer illiterate as software companies would like to brainwash them into believing they are. I use AntiVir and Adaware regularly now, and haven't had any issues with my new system. I deleted Norton off all my systems after all the problems I had with the updates and bogging down of my system. Free software has improved and can be just as good as the paid versions, if not better.
So if that makes me a "professional" in your opinion, then so be it. I just understand how computers work and enjoy messing with them. In all honesty, if you lack a basic understanding in how to use certain software tools at your disposal, including "google" and the task manager to rid your computer of a virus, then maybe you need a paid program to babsit your computer. (No offense to the original poster, that is).

Get the micrometers out so we can see who has the biggest pocket protector.

I don't go touting good I am at work, and I also don't go saying others don't know their stuff. Lay off and buy a t-shirt.
