x2 help

Hey guys i just got an x2 and imn having some problems it has 100psi-100psi has spark turns over just put a new carb kit on it set the mix to 1 1/8H and 5/8 L but it will not start what am i missing? it has new plugs any one in the orlando area want to help me for some money?

your compression is low but it shoud start if you dont have a primer, spray some starter fluid or a little gas but be carefull and then see if it starts, did you check compression the right way ,is gauge good?

100 is low i know but like you said i think it should run i put gas in the crab and not even a sputter and yeah the gauge is good
i tested the compression by taking the plugs out full charged battery wot and turn over the motor till it stops going up.

im not sure what else to do right now.

I am not sure it will start with the compression that low,120 psi is pretty much bare minimum

that kinda sucks what rings do i need size?

im working on a small 300sx for a friend right now after that im going to open up the x2 and see what needs to be changed have you guys run the 650 with no head gasket? to help get a higher compression.

If the rings are shot and not sealing mechanically raising the compression will only further increase the blow by.

Try another gauge before deciding the top end is gone. Its rare that both cylinders would have the same exact low reading. Stock compression is 150 PSI.

but a botom end leak will cuase it to sputter once or twice and not start if it is bad enough

well got the motor out today and every thing looks great im going to post pictures up and let you guys tell me what you think. i need help getting the cyclinder off its stuck on like crazy i got wd-40 it right know i hope it lets go.

I had an 88 JS650sx and when I got it it had been sitting on a beach at Lake Conway for at least 4 years (uncovered) and didn't run. I got it running and kept it for a few years, rode it all the time and I've since sold it. I don't necesarily enjoy working on skis (especially others) but I'd be willing to take a look at it and at least give a second opinion, because when you get it fixed you'll have someone to ride with. PM me your number, I'm only about 15 mins away.
