 My flywheel self destructed. The outer steel ring ripped off of the rest of the flywheel.

The microscopic pins shredded a small paper thin section of it...

I think I am just gonna line it up, press it back on and fire a few holes in it and re-pin it.

What do ya think?

I don't have a picture but mine is purple. It came with a special Vilder puller the reminds me of an old Honda dirt bike flywheel puller. The puller threads to the flywheel. It doesn't use the regular three bolt puller.

It has to be an SXI/SXIPRO big pin flywheel. The shape where they mount on the crank is different. (Learned that the hard way) Kawasaki Part #'s say they are the same, but they are not.

You are going to have that old one balanced if you ever want to use it again. I would not take the chance of destroying a stator or other things with that repaired flywheel. It's hard to swallow, at that price though!
