My SXI did the same thing when I brought it down from MI. I ran fine there, ran like poop here, I had to really jack with my carb settings to get it running right. I've determined it's the ethanol in the fuel here thats causing it.

From what I was told the othere day, not all fuel stations have ethanol in their gas, so if you were running from a place that didnt, but now does, that could be the problem.

have the next person who looks at it pull the carb and go thru it.if there is water in the pump side of the carb it can act like that.water in the gas could also cause these symptoms,again if thats the case then the carb needs to be gone through

Nick, I’ll give you a shout soon after I get back into town. Please let Tona Bill know I look to get that trailer I purchased from him to you, so I can convert it to a double (it’s somewhere here in Orlando, and I tried reaching him a few times a while back, plus the sj cover, and a big hello to him please). Things have simply been hectic down here with preparing for an extreme makeover on the house is the only reason for delay. I may have a serious “demolition party” soon, if you’re interested…I know guys like that kind of stuff, and I’m gutting it basically!

Fox, thanks for all the help…you’ve been a knight in shining armor! These fountain lights aren’t shutting off for some reason and the mosquito granules didn't disolve (and I've decided to leave it running to keep them away), so if you are out in this area while I’m gone, please check it out for me, and I’ll catch up with you b4 you leave for Maine! (and I forgot to mention I made quite a few international calls on your phone!!!)

Suzi not sure what all they have checked/done but it sounds like you have water in your fuel filter. When you pull the throttle it sucks the water out of the fuel filter killing the ski.

Good to know I'm finally starting to get names correct on your beautiful coast. Speaking of which, I sure hope you don't live in Northern Oregon...I've been following that storm for a few days now, and it looks to be getting pretty wicked. I'll have to hop back over to your threads soon to see what's been happening, but I still don't have many of the pics edited. The junkies know this thread is over here, so I'm sure they see it, and I've been relaying others info to them as well, so thanks again (just didn't wish for you to think I was omitting your info if you went to that link). :wavey:
