Here's the pics of Louie's hood & nose. I didn't want to post this whole message on the general page. So go get ur "happy sock" boys and start ur "happy time" with these pics...cuz' she's purdy.:Banane26:

Seeing the new hardware on there makes me wish i had planned and budgeted for painting the top deck. I was planning on doing that another year. It's gonna have to do for now though. I want to paint the pole white but black will be the color of '08 cuz' it's one more project and I'm getting sick of it.
Louie's final product has a nice, solid feel and smooth gel coat. I'm using the old, oem hood seal and the hood fits well. i got a sneaky feeling the hood hook issue is going to be a booger to mess with since i changed out the stock SN pole. the original hook location, on the SN bracket, just misses fitting inside the RN pole bracket recess. it prolly offsets them maybe 5 degrees...enought to FUBAR the hood hooks. i may just grind the lateral edges off the bracket hooks or buy some aftermarket ones...they seem thinner.
I may get some foam and fill the voids underneath the nose. I'm afraid it can get a crush injury easily...say running it under my dock or a "dolt" (like me) pushing on it. I'm doing internal fuel fill so I should never have to pull it...I HOPE. I've got one problem area and that's where the old front bumper recesses on the sides. The nose piece doesn't cover that and it cant without some funny looking mods. I could fill the area and glass it, but it will make me sand the top deck and then need painting. So NO!

:lmao:

kidding - I have to vent my frustrations at not being able to ride when I have perfect weather and a running ski. :banghead: :angryfire:

WERD UP!! My ski us nothing buy a big, floating casket right now. I was planning on installing the engine this weekend, but the hood and nose showed up so I started playing with them first.

I like the blue and white scheme maybe you should just paint the hood white since gel coat as tentency to turn yellowish. as for the nose pc some foam under will do great. here is what you could do, get some great stuff/foam in the can then som Saran wrap and cover the inside of the nose pc and install in place, then blow the foam inside let it cure, and remove the nose pc to trim excess. for the 2 corner it was not possible to make them into the mold due to the shape of it. so some filler and paint will do the trick.
I'm glad that you like my hood.
Thanks, Louie

Man I love the work you did on the pole pad.

thanks man...using the 25mm pad turned out to be a good thing. it acts like a pole pad against the hood. it's wide enough to prevent the pole from going all the way down against the hood. Still gonna put a pad on there though...just to save me the "ohhhhhh shiot" moment.

You talking ******** about me again, mofo?!?! :naughty: Oh yeah--If you are going to use a rounding pole bracket with an AC RN alum pole, you have to do some trimming on the bottom of the pole at the stops... So you can get more angle on the pole.

but it def. looks a whole helluva better than that fat cracker head square pole that was on it before.

Nice job bro!!!!
