OMG, don't put 5200 on there! Just thinking about it is making me cringe. Silicone will work just fine.

If you put 5200 on there, goodluck getting it off without dinging the ride plate and or gouging the fiberglass when you pry it off. I have no doubt that you could install a rideplate with 5200 and no bolts and it would hold just fine.

how did it run?

see if you have some tuning knowledge u can kick my way. It hits pretty good off the bottom. Love the new brap w/ TL, pipe, prop. However, it feels like it's falling off a little in the middle and top...almost a sputter. Still pulling the boat, just a little hesitation feel. I rebuilt the stock Mikuni 44 with an OEM kit...might have been a little rough getting the clear, round discs (i forget what they're called) installed. I didn't have the little tool to push the rubber nipples in the grommet holes so I used an allen wrench. I set the screws per OEM settings and used the FPP jets for a limited pipe. Any ideas? Running 40:1. Got cheap and used 87 Octane fuel, need to get some good stuff for next tank.

Got my pipe set with top, middle closed, bottom 3/4 out. O.K.?

I forgot!
TL hits awesome on the bottom end ehh. try this setting on your pipe: top 1/2 to 5/8 , Mid 3/8 to 1/2 & the bottom closed. did you check your plugs to see if they were dry or wet and look at your piston wash (may be too soon to see). if your loosing power off the top it could be lean, or it just may be the way your engine hits.

what's piston wash? i haven't pulled plugs to look yet. Advance is 30*...couldn't find anywhere that says to subtract 5* from static on an Analog TL. U think 30 is too far...timing light says 30.

i am runniing 30 but i have the digital brain and i can pull my timing back fast. if it isnt detonating then your okay, try and stay away from WOT runs or turn it back a bit to be on the safe side. we have better fuel up here in canada too so that may be why i am okay with 180 psi and 30 static. piston wash

I would think the carb needs a little fine tuning. There are minor engine differences, altitude, etc. that aren't constant for everyone so the jets recommended for the pipe are meant to be a starting point. Sounds like the low jet and pop off are decent but you may want to try to richen the high speed jet a little. Do a 1/4 turn and run it WOT and see how it acts. If it still misses do another 1/4 turn.

Wish I could run mine WOT without getting dumped...
