well today i finally put the new x-2 on the water for the first time (took me a week but i got it there) anyway without further delay

#1 i need a new prop and carb..need more brap

#2 they are actually quite easy to get back on

#3 mine handles just fine for me..steering not an issue..i did do the steering mod tho'

#4 subbing these things is suprisingly easy...as is flying over the bars and hitting your head on the hood:eek:uch:

#5 attempting to stab these things and getting a is suprisingly easy..as is flying through the air basically doing cartwheels across the water:splatt::crutches:

#6 ALWAYS remember to grab your helmet off the wall on the way out the door:twak:

#7 fixed steering is where it's at..i am now making a conversion hood for the squarenose:headbang:

#8 i'm one happy mofo:djsmilie:

I can't wait to get my build done.... even though I haven't even started...

Best thing about X2's is that your feet are out wide which helps stability. Subs are like any other ski, you need the right sped, the right hop, and the right entry angle. Otherwise you get your eyelids peeled back when you get ripped off the ski or you just glance off the water.

X2's always need more brap. I finally got me an 800 SXR engine, now I just need total loss, porting, a head, a magnum pump, it never ends...

Well for years I was saving small parts, not really big parts. I recently just bought an 800 SXR engine. So I stepped up my parts buying and bought all thye little and not so little parts I needed. But in the last three months I have spent 4k on ski parts and I still need a few more things. Not al of us have tons of skis to rape parts from. I still have to pay my bills at the end of the month. I would love to have an aftermarket hull, total loss, and a mag pump. Stay tuned, it will get built in a few weeks. I would just rather have all the parts in hand before tearing a perfectly fine running ski apart into pieces.

My X2 will be pretty cool. It will look mostly stock excecpt with a few bolt on's. I still need a carbon oil tank made, a modded seat, a custom throttle bracket made, my carbs milled a little, I may/may not but an ADA head, I need a WC exhaust manifold, then mod it for my WB limited chamber, my FPP head pipe hogged out. I was content to still collect parts but when the 800 SXR with barely any hours fell into my lap, I had to man up and buy the rest of the parts I needed. And we all know parts aren't free. When I should be saving for the recession, I am spending happily... So it looks as if I better love this X2 because I won't be getting any other skis anytime soon!

Search the X2 forum Charlie. I want a carbon fiber e-box made that is molded off of a stock X2 oil tank. That way I can house all of my 800 SXR electrics in it. I want it to have a cover and then a piece of aluminum epoxied int oit. It will be a trick custom piece. I can make one but I know someone other than myself could do it faster, cheaper, and with better quality. Seems like a logical place for the e-box. Should weight less than the stock 800 box too. My plug wires won't reach if I use the stock 800 box :(

Sorry for the hijack Thong Bandit.
