SXR Experts. I need some advice on next move

I ride a 06 SXR. Mainly run bouys with the locals. It currently has a JSU Head with 28cc domes, wet pipe, tbm spacers,v-force reed system, prox filter,13/18 set back skat prop, intake grate and carbon ride plate....What should I focus on next..carbs, if so 46's or 48's, lightened flywheel, ignition? I am running out of funds and time before the spring. Enough money for maybe one more item before its time to drag it out and want to get the most bang for the buck...thanks :brap:

Was considering a lightened flywheel for mine........Not going to spend money on a aftermarket one especially if it's not charging. Does anyone have experience with the group K lightening ? I know they take of .6 pounds on the outside. If so how does it work ? I already have the wetpipe and was going to do the nozzle bore and impeller repitch before spring.

Sure it would, but If you cannot ride it to its full potential then it is a waste of money......

I borrowed YamaCats Limited SXR 2 years ago at a few different races, I could ride my stocker much faster than I could the limited....... Same reason that I do not run a Lamey, I could not use all the power that is available...... One day I might can if I get one and train enough... It is better to have power that is strong, predictable and solid and learn to ride it to the limit. When you reach the point that the power is holding you back that is when you start upgrading. Look at Ratti, he did this way, started out stock, then with a pipe, prop and head, then porting with stock pistons, then currently I believe his is running a bigbore flat top, unless he is going to be on a lamey this season. Point being he learned to master the power that he had.

I didn't notice a large difference with the flywheel work by Group K.

Korn's light aftermarked (Vilder, I think) flywheel is a HUGE difference.

Ive heard of guys taking the magnets off the OEM flywheel, and they say that works as good as the light weight aftermarket none charging flywheels... its just none charging after that. Like the 500 TBM. Then have someone cut down .6lb off the outside as well...

Kahuna...hate to admit it , but I honestly wasn't taking advantage of what I had last year.. Unless I come across a swinging deal on select parts, I will probably just leave well enough alone..Don't get me wrong, it's quick . The 600 or so I was going to drop would acquate to 200 gallons or so of fuel which will improve my skills and make me quicker. Thanks for shedding some light on my situation. Thanks
