my friend installed one, and he likes it, but was a process to install correctly, and even then, it still rubs on his type 9 dry pipe. i doesn't really lighten the hood that much. you can pretty much do the same thing the carbon liner does but just blocking off the holes in the front of the hood

i have one in one of my hoods..stays pretty dry but unless you reinforce the inside its really weak..mine is already cracking after maybe 10 rides

I installed one of the first ones, (at the time they had just come out). Honestly, it kept water out better than any of the Wammer Hoods (4) and the Blowsion hood that I have run.

i actually have one that Ill be selling in daytona! if you want to come get it in st. augustine before this weekend, no sweat! im off as of tonite for the rest of the week..
comes with a free stock hood as well..you just have to remove it..
kept my old SJ WAYYYYYY dry.....belonged to big kahuna in a previous life as well

it should fit but the over extension stops are in a different place. xft bracket uses the rubber stopper from the stock bracket......xmetal uses the two post and i am not sure how they would work against the xft pole.
