Team Scream 'oddball' 61x/760cc

This time last year I was talking to Chuck at Team Scream about putting GP1200 sleeves into a 62t cyl. I had gotten the sleeves & 6m6 bottom case, 61x top case for pretty much free (shipping cost only). Measured the port heights with my crappy guage. He said it should work, but was an oddball build. So at the 07 Daytona ride I gave him a 62t cyl, kinda crusty 61x case top half, and 2 sleeves & 2 used pistons from a GP1200. Told him no hurry at all, take your time, etc.
Few months go by and I call Chuck to see how it's coming. He says 'not going so well, prolly won't do this again'. Not exactly what you want to hear, but I know he knows what he is doing and won't do the work at all if it will give crap performance. So a few more months go by, then I get the call, cyl is done, case is done, used pistons I gave him were no good.
He ended up decking the cyl some to lower the port heights, ported it, clearance & ported the 61x case half, honed the cyl., and machined slightly recessed domes into a stock 64x head. He gave me the jetting specs for the single 46mm carb I was running. Looked beautiful when I got it back. Crustyness was blasted clean. I repainted the parts and put it together.
Finally got it installed & finished last weekend. It is an arm stretcher for sure; absolutly screams! I am using too tall of a prop in it (14/21) so it feels like it does 60mph to me and gets there hella fast. Jumps right out of the water off idle also, but I can tell it will have more with a lower pitched prop. His jetting was right on, had to lean maybe 1/4 turn on screws.
Think I had too much timing at low RPM's. I had the stator plate slightly advanced and the Advent was too much I think. It backfired after riding it a couple of times and almost sheared the woodruff key. Then would not start back up. Pulled the flywheel, and sure enough key was almost sheared.

Anyway, I am very happy with the results. Came out cheaper than buying sleeves from Northwest Sleeve, but had to have the recessed domes.
He won't do another like this, so don't even ask.

So my 'oddball' Team Scream motor has:
6m6 bottom case half
61x top case half
used (6m6/61x/62t) crank from Chuck
Kawasaki ZXi top end bearings & all yama gaskets from LPW
GP1200 (84mm) sleeves in a decked 62t cyl casting
64x head with recessed domes for 180psi
B pipe with Ldt chamber
62t flywheel & stator
Advent CDi Ign I won at Daytona raffle last year (which Team Scream donated to the raffle)
Single 46mm gold Mikuni carb on stock ported 61x manifold
Polaris sitdown bendix :)
Kawa 550 start/stop switch
OEM visibility spout on pump

Need an OEM flame arrester top, the tupperware just did not cut it. :ugh:

No, it's all classified super top secret. My camera actually broke trying to take a pic.
You should have seen the porting on the 61x case top half! Sweet! :Banane26:
