Sat.11/24/07.9:00AM- BIG SURF today, Head high to overhead on the WAY outside and light offshore winds this morning- NW at 10-15mph ...but with the low tide, the swell was still mixed up and bumpy plus there is still current going south. Water temp at 65 degrees and a major incoming tide push all thru this afternoon. Tides are Low 7:37am -0.57ft and High 5:04pm 2.47ft

So much good surf and not a person to ride with. Why cant I go play in the surf by myself? I looked at the rules for surf on this site, and a big one was dont ride alone!

For the surfers today was a so-so day, but for a ski, it would have been fantastic. Why is it when the surf is big, its cold and people always have plans...

Damn surf Gods.....

OK, heres the deal... you call me after your done Penguin and that way we both rode together! you should have some surf in Houston too??? Im making the drive first thing in the morning. Anyone ever put in south of bob haul pier? I would assume it would be fine. Surfers always stay on the North side. Im headed to the water! Maybe I can talk a friend in to watching and a lil video from the beach

That's how it always is for me. Make sure your ski is in top shape for surf with all the essentials. I sometimes ride solo, but take a camera man just in case. it is always good to have spectators who could save you if knocked out. Hope you had fun!

Sweet...I hope you got me the red or the black mixer, because I really like the red or black ones. And did you get Christmas dishes or just everyday ones. Really everyday would be a better choice, unless you got a great deal on Christmas ones.

I got the black one at Costco. I wanted red, but they were sold out. I'm going to hit the other Costco tomorrow and see if I can swap it.

I bought "everday" dishes. Actually I got them about a week ago - but it's all coming on the same CC bill, so I consider it part of this weekend's purchases. My kitchen will be decorated in a "chili pepper" type them - so guess what the plates have on them :biggrin:

The surf was AWSOME, the ski ran great, and after a quick dip in the Guadalope river and a good bath everything is nice and clean. For my first time in surf while understand the basics of a ski, I had a great time! I can see some fiberglass work in the near future. Surf is hard on a ski. My wife didnt know you could zoom in and out on the camera so the dots in the photos are me...

lol 65 degree water and your not riding.. id kill for that.. as soon as my foot holds come in ill journey out into the high 30 degree water for a few test runs before daytona

Next time. Im making my ole lady go from part time to full time so I can get my weekends back and not be a full time babysiter when Im not working,so I can play more often

My fantastic wife made the two hour drive, sat outside for a total of 5 minutes worth of video and this is what she got. Its short, but it was 40 degrees out... so I still love her!
