ive been running no bildges with no problems..dont let that keep you out of the water..if you sink it at least you will get some practice getting it fired again..:fing02:

and one day you'll wish you had one... guaranteed

why..if it gets wet it gets wet..bildges dont do anything...just more garbage in the engine compartment..im not saying dont run em im just saying you can go out for a surfride without a bildge..

that's great if you don't run a pump.
But it's terrible advise

i didnt say dont run one...just saying most people are scared to go in the surf without two 500gph blah blah blah..if you got a stocker or a scupper just run it..remember an oem ski wont sink..they float about an inch or two below the surface..

Cause one day your not gonna be able to hold your ski out when the engine compartment is completly full and that bilge would be pumping water out, making it semi manageable to drag it back to shore.

I have about two or three stories bad moments would have been worse if I didn't have an electric bilge.

I'd run a bilge pump.

I have seen them save ski's and hrs of drama. If the engine quits in half decent surf and you are being barrel rolled, its nice to keep as much water out as possible.

Yamaha elec boxes are not the most waterproof of items. Carbs and fuel with water in them suck. The battery leads with fried ends suck. And green wires suck too. Dont forget, scuppers and syphons need a running ski to work.

We lost a ltd sxr for about 6hrs once. Lukily it washed up about 700 yds down the beach. A kid came up and said "hey mister, did you lose a jetski?" I said, "not personally but ask the guy over there thats in tears."

On my ski I have the front air intakes on the hood blocked off along with one attwood bilge pump and the stock bilge. That is all you need. If you want to run a scupper then you better have a bilge pump cuz those things leak like crazy.
Just slap a bilge pump on there and go have fun. Like Ross says, you won't need the other stuff until you start pushing

that doesnt make any sense, if i had no bilge pump my ski would be full of water in a half hour. whenever my ski is upside-down or on its side it takes on water, without any way to get it out wtf u gonna do?
wait u DO have a oneway though right??

no electric bilge pump is a slight risk, but i havent sank so...
whether pushing hard or not i think a limiting rope should be high priority. it would suck to break a hull just losing a ski in a little wave, and when you first start riding surf you WILL lose the ski!

one way...plus i have an aftermarket hood that stays pretty dry...ive only ingested water twice with my new ski and it was because i was doing stupid airs and my hood latch popped
