Full Specs. Ordered the manifold also. These were the last to pieces of my motor/ski that weren't modified/aftermarket.

Ed does not modify stock carbs like Art @ Jetworks does.

He buys them from Mikuni (I presume) and works them over, then sells them as Full Specs brand-new.

I don't think he's ever done it. Not sure on that...but I do know that he doesn't do it now.

I don't know if Ed still mods used carbs but I know he used to, because I've disassembled some for him. The problem is that people send the biggest pieces of junk carbs expecting them to come out new. Ed has his standard of quality and most used carbs wouldn't come out right, then the customer would blame him. Its hard shinning turds.

Got my FS from him 2 years ago. He said if I wanted to send him two NEW carbs, he would modify them. He buys the blanks for (at the time) $175 each. He guts them and works his magic. He also uses the silver carbs only. At the time he would only mod certain model #'s of mikuni 44mm carbs, and the OEM Yamaha carbs were NOT the right model #. His carbs are absolutely the best and attention to detail and quality are second to no one. One of the best mods to my ski!

I bought those junkers off of ebay and then he and I talked and I mentioned that I had some stock 44s here and he said he could modify them and save me some $. So I sent them in with a "no promises" prenup and it worked out.

I'd just complely rebuilt them with new throttle plates, so I had him send those back.

I fired it up today and can't wait to see what happens tomorrow at the lake.
