I finally bought an LED trailer light kit and got it yesterday.
Very nice. It was $60 from etrailer.com. The first thing I did was pull the lenses off to see how they are built inside, and I was pleasantly surprised to see everything potted in epoxy, everything.
They're pretty bright too based on hooking them to a battery. I'll see how they are once installed though.
Hopefully these last a while, I've had horrible luck with lights lately and haven't had anything working for a long time.

oh man, were talking about federal POUND YOU IN THE ASS prison
There was nothing wrong with my name until I was 12 years old and that * assclown became famous and started winning grammys.
I got it - trust us, it was funny....
sure the trailer lights are nice but how many pieces of flair do you have on there? you know fifteen is the minimum- you can have more to show your spirit.
they'll last until they get stolen.
a friend of mine had a set stolen off his trailer the first time he went fishing and left his trailer parked at the ramp.
he's had 2 other sets stolen since then.
now he's back to the cheapies and they haven't been stolen.
use the cheapies from wal-mart and dip all wire connections in liquid electrical tape. I've got 1 trailer going on 6 years with the same lights on it - and they still work fine.
