Foot Strapped Surf Riders, where do you put your strap(s)?????

So just trying to get a little input on where y'all are putting your foot straps. I'm thinking about putting them like in the pictures bellow. That is right about where I've been seeing my foot at when I'm riding. It doesn't seem to be a very aggressive "surf" stance, but what do you think?

So where do you put yours, and why?

I keep my foot even further forward in the tray. I learned that stance when I still had the oem plastic panel in place. The panel has a small edge in it where you can jam your toes under. I like to jam my toes in the strap and put my heel towards the side. See placement in the pic.
The pic is dated, I've since removed the left strap and moved the left side of the right strap more to the left. This give me some room to choose angle of my foot. Works well this far!

NOW SPORTING A BIONIC LEG
I've moved mine about 5 different times until i found a comfortable spot and even then it takes some getting used to. Also, if its real aggresive surf stance its easy to get the back of your foot hung up on the rails and you can't get your foot out. Felt like my ankle was gonna snap like a twig...

i put two sets of bolts in the tray but only use the set close to the rear of the ski. the other set is way too far forward.

:werd: I'd keep the straps away from the rails too. Almost snaped the bottom of my leg once when my foot got stuck. I've also moved my straps around a few times looking for the best compromise. Now I'm using only a back strap and I like that for now.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thats where my strap was when I had problems releasing. I thought it would be good with toes in the strap & heel locked on the rail but for me it worked too good. If your ridding with that stance try a highroller front hold:biggthumpup:

I'm putting a strap in the middle, back of my ski, maybe a tad bit toward the left side.... I like my highroller front foothold, so no need for a strap up there... My biggest problem w/ riding surf stance w/ a foothold is that my left (back) foot throws me off balance when it's crammed all the way into the hold (My holds are very deep, about .25" separates the wall of the hold and the outer gunwale wall.... If I can get my foot over more tawrd the center, I think my rolls in surf stance would feel better and it will put me in a more neutral position for slashing and carving...

w/o the straps, next time I am there I will snap some pics, its easy to do, but no advantage that I have seen for my style of riding. :fing02:

yea its really pretty pointless...if you ride strapped you ride strapped..you dont move your feet at all ...and actualy to make jks tray like they did they had to use a different exhaust hose...in his case a smaller carbon tube...so it is quite a bit of work..my feet positoning has changed quite a bit recently..my backfoot keep geeting more and more sideways and now its in full on surf stance..i still need to notch a bit for my toes cause i dont like the rear strap dead center in the tray..much easier for slashing the peak and whatnot imo..honesatly besides tubbies switching to dual straps was the best thing i did for my riding,,,
