Pulse line problems on rn superjet

I just replaced all the fuel lines on my 96 superjet with ebay lines. I even replaced the pulse lines with it, which I'm afraid was a mistake. The fuel just pulses back and forth about a 1/2 inch in the supply line and nothing is coming out the return line. It won't freaking start!:banghead:

The ski ran fine before. I tried priming the lines and it didn't help.:banghead::banghead:

Have I screwed up by replacing the pulse lines with fuel line?

Oh yeah, I have good compression and spark.

make sure vacuum line i not getting pinched/sucked shut

it alsways takes a few times to get it going once its all relined.
BTW: ling to the hose you bought? i gust got some neon line and it worked just fine,,, so far

I made the same mistake using Motion Pro Tygon fuel line for a pulse line hose and found it to flex too much.

It also leaked around the short brass primmer fitting because the line seemed bigger then the stock line inside diameter.

Make sure that your brass pulse line nipple didn't come lose from the case.

I purchased all new oem fuel line from boats.net and put everything back to stock.

My ski ran with the aftermarket pulse lines but I was losing some signal to the fuel pumps with the soft, thin, larger diameter tygon line.

are you using the fuel valve?
sounds like the lines are crossed

Yes I am using the fuel valve...I'll check on that tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it's all hooked up right though.

I also just replaced the flywheel and bendix but didn't touch the stator. Could it be a problem with timing?

as long as the keyway in in the flywheel/shaft then the timing isnt changed
if keyway fell out then the flywheel could be in the wrong spot

What kind of flywheel did you install?

Also try bypassing your fuel selector valve and see if the ski will run.

I guess it has to be the fuel lines. Hopefully I switched up the fuel selector valve lines but I gues it could still be the pulse lines collapsing.

will it run if you dribble gas down the carb?

I sort of tried that. I used a syringe to put fuel in the supply line....still wouldn't start. How would I dribble gas down the carb?

take off the air box and just pour a wee bit in it should pop off and run for a bit till that wee bit is gone

I'm not really sure what that will tell me except I have a fuel supply problem and everything else is OK.

that will tell you that you dont need to pull off your flywheel
that will tell you to look @ your fuel system
to me it sounds like you have a fuel line swaped somewhere
the main line in goes to the bottom fuel fitting on the carb

It may also get enough fuel running through the system that all the air is blown out and your suction is normal again. Another option is trying to start the ski with both carb throats covered with your hand. This will create as much vacuum as possible to force the fuel running.
