I call mine helmet landings. This past week'nd katie said the best ever, "You would make it around if your body would quit hitting the water". lol. Now thats funny! Mark44 summed it up go faster, but he says that to everone. Add me to the list.

I seemed to have the same problem today....wasn't getting the speed or air. Maybe 65 to 70 percent of a full rotation for FWBR's. But it feels good tryin! It seems all within a short grasp...

Looks good, Skee. I think a b pipe will get you the rest of the way around! It is strange seeing you on an ugly Blue ski...lol.

I am gonna go try some tomorrow.

Spot my landing? My eyes are usually shut because I'm anticipating the
"human intake grate".

Here's a video I put together tonight of me trying some rolls two days ago.
Keep in mind this is on a STOCK superjet (well, it has footholds, shortened pole, x-metal steering) but is a stock engine. I'm sure more :brap: would help, but I figure if I pull them off with a stocker, when I get more
brap, I will be unbelievable. :cool2:

Like most of you, I know exactly what I'm doing wrong. I think my setup is good, my pre-hop is good, my takeoff is good (pole on the hood), but then my body goes WAY to the right, and the pole comes off the hood mid-roll and
I practically stand up, so it turns into a stab or just a flop.

Feel free to critique.

Chad, the one at 3:00 or so looked pretty good (except for the falling off part ). I wish you could have some more time on my ski, maybe in Cleveland?

I need to ride your ski first thing, instead of after an hour or two of
riding mine when I'm wore out.

I'm going to Cleveland. I plan to go up for the day on Saturday the 28th. You going then? You're welcome to crash at my place the night before and ride up with me, and crash again the night after.

My place is not REALLY on the way, but not THAT far out of the way.

A 2 hour drive to a bed beats an 8 hour drive.

We're going as a family, probably without Dawson though, and planning on just making it a daytrip, leave at 6am and head back by 6pm, it's only a 5 hour drive.

Here is Mr. Bogart's form. Pole down, head over the chinpad.

Same here, threads like this are encouraging, both for the site and for my riding.

I still hate the people that have talent though...

heres a video of me and steve from last summer. at about 2:00 mark steve rips a pretty clean flatwater roll. it was like one of his first. Horsepower helps once you learn to control the power. since then he cut his hull shorter and has been just getting bigger and bigger while his hull cracks and gets beat on more and more (smitty's hami-down hull) Also steve basically only knows one trick, the barrel roll. We both fall down alot still and he wipes out alot just turning but he rips some nice flatwater rolls

I rode again yesterday, unfortunately it was a typical Sunday on the river with massive boat traffic and as an added feature, 15mph winds to really chop it up.

No flatwater practice, but I did hit one smaller boat wake and went a little faster, cranked it a little harder, and leaned forward/right a little more and I definitely spun faster and on the correct axis. It felt pretty good, so maybe I'll get smooth water again this week.
