It is a Yuasa I bought at local Kawi shop. They list for 49.95 and dealer cost is 9.95. They sell them to me for 12.00 plus tax.
And I weighed the new batt and old batt=12lb weight loss.

I wonder how they would be with an Advent total loss setup, I'm gonna try it because my 16lbs battery is way to heavy.
A total loss will drain them in short order - no matter what the TL is. The advent will probably drain faster than an MSD TL.
My Jetworks full size would get me 6-8 hours of riding. I think that wee lil' guy will last 45 minutes, if that long.

Josh Lustic put tit in his boat and it lasted 15min w/ total loss....
not sure of the charge the batt had... I would agree w/ Matt
45 min fully charged would probably be the max

x3 Will not work with total loss... you need a expensive light weight battery that has the same specifications as a 16lb.... they make one that is 7lbs, but its like $150-200.
It did not last long against the total loss 910cc popo motor... Id say it was probably more like 5 minutes, on a half charge battery.

Well I've been watching this thread since its inception and I finally got the bug and dropped a few pounds. I went with a slightly larger sealed battery from Western Power Sports (CTX5-LBS @ 4.5" x 2.8" x 4.2" x 3.8lb) and swiched to a light (but noisy) X-Metal waterbox....
And all of the sudden the nose of my pig SJ is back to feeling light and free again. No doubt... well worth it, and that battery cranks over my 5mm stroker 190psi (not total loss) with no problems all day long.
For those questioning battery size, keep in mind that our standard 16CLB's are the same batteries used to crank triple cylinder 1200's.... food for thought...

Deka 6ish pounder for my SXR. Sealed and maintenance free baby. Nice difference. I'm running out of things to do.. maybe Trinity can conjure up some nice carbon fiber bolt on parts..

8lbs is better than 16 pounds, but 24 volts is not better than 12 volts. Try running in parallel if you were serious about running two.
However, at 2x$34.95, you could get a Deka sealed AGM 8 pounder.
i have been running the 6lb sealed battery out of one of my yamaha r6 street bikes with great results. I am running yuasa sealed 4lb batteries in the bikes with no problems so i will try the 4lb next in the superjet. it is a yuasa ytz7s for around $80. I charge them for 12 hours before ever using them which is critical to having a good performing battery.
