Its illegal to sell them new in CA but I always here guys on here buying them new out-of-state and not having any issues registering them in CA. You might want to consider that.

Also a tip with riding standups; the throttle is your friend. Being able to control the throttle smoothly will help alot with balance and most of them time you can power out of times when your about to lose balance.

Email this guy.

He has a red 2004 SXR with a cover that is in perfect shape and has hardly ever been ridden. It is in Cleveland. He lives in L.A. most of the year. It has probably been ridden 20 times.

Make him an offer.

p.s. to those who know I may consider the yamaha stand up as it's the same price range but I did some research on these boards and a lot of people prefer the kawasaki and say it's better for the novice rider.... any thoughts?

Making a choice on a baot is fine, but making a chocied based on how fast you can learn to stand up is wrong. You'll be up and doing fine and in about 2 week and in about a 1month it'll feal at home. So if you get a baot to learn on...then ull out grow it in abouta month.

This is the basic break down..........basic

you wanna jump, slide, throw, flip, toss, flick and other random words...superjet

you wanna ski that handles like a roller coaster, can lay way the hell over with traction and keep going around bouys....Kawsaki SXR

You can make either one do either thing....but thats the basic thing...one is better then the other for certain purposes.

Also, whya brand new ski? why not grab a used one adn have more money for mods and fun things

it really depends wha tyou want to do, if you want to get into freestyle then the superjet but just for cruising around and carving turns the sxr. i found the kawasaki easier to learn on.

so i ended up getting the sxr in red and white. I posted up on pwctoday.com too, there seems to be more local bay area people on that site than I've seen on here.

Anyways I'm going to test it out for the 1st time Sunday. This will be the 1st weekend that I hope friday night and saturday night would just fly by so I can go to the lake early Sunday lol.
