I got some stuff this morning and they packed it with carboard boxes that looked like they had been run through a shredder, you could still see part of an old shiping tag on it,I had not seen that one before but it worked very well and was extremely eco friendly,I hate the packing penuts with a passion.

I got an engine sent here one time, they packed it with packing peanuts, they didn't bother to cover the intake or exhaust, just threw it in the box and filled it with peanuts, the engine had packing peanuts all inside it when it got here, what a dumbazz.

Why leave negative feedback? You got the hood and you got in in the condition promised.

I could see maybe leaving neutral because it took a while. But if you leave neg, he will likely leave you neg and I think it will be justified in this case.

I've been using eBay for about 6 years now, ever since it first started. I have bought two things that never showed (actually one finally did show about a month after I bought it). Both times I left negative feedback the sellers left me negative in retaliation. Unless he has already left you FB, he'll likely do the same.

But that is neither here nor there. You held up your end of the deal by paying. You got your hood and its in the condition it was supposed to. He held up his end of the deal. There is no need for negative, IMO.

He may have done a crappy job packaging, but did it affect the hood? No. So leave him neutral and note that it was a crappy packaging job and it took forever. But he doesn't deserve a negative because you didn't like something that didn't affect anything in the end.

good point but i think it was very lucky it wasnt damaged...the usps people must have relized how fragile it was and were really careful about it...if it was damaged it would have been a pain to deal w/ the guy...and i probally would have been stuck w/ a broken hood...all he had to do was stick it in a box and there would be no problem...ill leave him nuetrtral and hopefully he isnt a d$ck and he gives me the feedback i deserve

The only thing different that would ease people's minds would be some padding around the hood. Honestly, hoods aren't that delicate. If it's a $900 blowsion hood, maybe that's a different story, but for a 15 year old SN hood, I'm not seeing the issue. It came in one piece, what else could you ask for?

True... I would have found some foam padding then saran wrap...

I think it's great to reuse boxes. DGY, Blowsion, etc. do it... and I re-use their re-used boxes... but there is a point at which they should be discarded/recycled (structural integrity).
