What did you plant ?

some of them are bachelor buttons , not sure on the others , I grew them from seed a few months back , I pretty much grew everything from seed this year other than a few eggplants and bell peppers I bought for 50 cents each , I got tired of babysitting the flowers and wanted them in the ground .

When they are in starter container in potting soil you have to water them daily , that pretty much goes with anything planted in potting soil .

Honing Bench

My home made honing bench uses a harbor freight parts washer tub (every other part besides the tub itself is trashed). I plumbed in a shut off valve to the bottom, using 3/8 lines into an oil filter. The motor is from amazon, and is meant for fuel transfers (it's a gear pump).

I run copper line to the top so i can route it where i want. I did have to make a block off plate for the tub's previous wiring hole. I also used a grommet to seal the hole. I use 3/8 line so i can stick the outlet wherever i need using copper clamps that i made with some left over coper pipe.

I fastened a 2x8 in the tub at an angle and drilled holes to mount the cylinder via the exhaust manifold holes.

I use a Sunnen AN-815 hone on a 10a drill plugged into a transformer so i can set the max rpm (no i do not know the actual rpm) . I move in/out by hand. The oil flows very well. I have had good results so far... call me crazy, but i went three sizes up with this bad boy. Yes it took forever.

Material cost ;
Harbor freight welder ; 70 bucks
Stealing from the shop at work ; free
Total weight about 30lbs
Edges? Sharp
Round? Not really
Functional? Probably, with some leaking
Can I weld? Also not really
Can it take the surf? No, absolutely not.
I’d call that a poverty water box if I say so myself

Maybe next time I won’t wait until 4 days before a trip to triple swap the b1 :)
