Would you run these cases?

I had these around for a while, trying to decide if i should save them or scrap...

Lower case half has bearing chatter grooves where the inner bearings rides. Not real bad. Little bearing retainer and go ride? All the bearing lock pins are good and the upper case half is fine. Its just a cheap 701, not an expensive motor.

I personally wouldn't. Without the proper preload, the inner bearings may fail. Had it happen to me once, ruined the motor when it let go.

if you have old loose bearing, assemble dry first and check if bearing has enough retention or use some plastigauge to see crush.won't tell you much other than the bearing is being squeezed enough to not slip around.dykem would work also.
doesn't look too too bad on the photos.

Or sleeve retaining compound.

Got a product name? We've used loc tite on bearings, with a little love from a punch to rough up the mating surface on the bad gurls. Thanks. (knowledge from electric motors, pumps, and shafts. Nothing jetski related, but I'd guess it'd be applicable.)

There are lots of different ones with different uses and different gap filling properties just like different types of loctites.

LOCTITE® 640TM is designed for the bonding of cylindrical fitting parts. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include retaining keys and splines, eliminating backlash in worn assemblies, retaining bearings in place - preventing spin out, retaining rotor to shafts in fractional and subfractional horsepower motors, retaining bushings and sleeves in housings and on shafts, augmenting press fits, restoring the fit to worn assemblies or out of tolerance parts.
