Because I'm not good either, I just read this site and try and do some stuff. I got a bum year last year though as the skiwasn't running right, than I got screwed at teh shop that fixed my boat.

I put maybe 10 tanks through it. Hard to learn things on such a short time frame.

Riding with others helps the most.

Unfortunately I am one of two standup owners I know of in this state. And the other one was on an SXR, I never saw him again. There's no one I know thats into standups, although all my friends see mine and go "I want one of those!" Im self-motivated because I really want to get good at jetskiing.

Videos help a lot, and have showed me all the things that are possible. They've showed me a lot of cool ways to transition from hood tricks, into fountain, etc. Im a flatwater rider, and whenever theres a storm, theres 5 foot chop, but its usually very close together (10 feet at MOST) so its tiring and hard to line up a good jump. Without these forums I wouldnt of even considered getting a standup, and now Im considering holding off getting a car until next year because I need a bigger engine

man, that 701 is plenty strong......start with a the proper IMPELLER for flatwater freestyle....

then send your cyl and carb to TLR for f/s portwork and 48mm conversion.....

I would have to say my single biggest motivator now is the upcoming thaw. . . Bring on warmer temps and hopefully a long riding season.

tim, we should make some kind of trophy/cup... and keep trying to one up each other (b/w me, you, and butti right now) to see who gets to hold the trophy.. major bragging rights right there... xfr ownership as one-up-manship gets owned..
not a bad idea. sounds hard to pick how it would work or who the winner is.

I'll make new goals. :cool2:

don't worry, I have a lot to work on as it is. I was just looking at our groups trick list. I might clear the slate and repost it since a lot of it was geared for daytona.

Cool there is not enough people out rideing on the nasty wave days. Your cazynes is fun to be around too.

When I'm doing stunts next to the shore line hitting the surf; you glance onto the beach and see a group of hot ladies in their string bikinis checking you out.

That's what gets me real motivated. :purr:
